These are the terms that apply when you play with, sign up for, or order merch from One Cavite Pickleball Club — please read them before you join a session or place an order.
By attending an open play session, creating a player profile, placing a merchandise order, or otherwise using onecavitepickleball.club (the "Site") or participating in One Cavite Pickleball Club ("OCPC", "we", "us", "our") activities, you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you're signing up a minor, or a guardian is registering on behalf of a junior player, "you" includes that guardian, who accepts these Terms on the minor's behalf.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please don't register a profile, place an order, or attend a session — you're welcome to reach out to us first with any questions using the contact details at the end of this page.
OCPC is a community-run recreational pickleball club based in Cavite, Philippines, organizing open play sessions (primarily at SM City Rosario), occasional tournaments and outings, and selling limited-run club merchandise. OCPC is not a registered corporation, sports federation, or franchise of any national or international pickleball body — we're a group of players who organize sessions together.
Open play sessions are open to players of all skill levels. There's no membership fee to attend open play as a guest, but creating a player profile (via Join OCPC) is how you get listed on Meet the Club, appear on the Leaderboard, and receive a birthday shoutout.
Player profiles are authenticated through Firebase Authentication using the email and password you set at sign-up. You're responsible for:
Per our current process, a new profile shows as "pending" until an OCPC officer has recorded your attendance at open play 3 times — after that, your profile appears publicly on Meet the Club and you become eligible for a birthday shoutout. We may adjust this process over time.
Open play schedules, venues, and times are posted on the Site and are subject to change — check the schedule before heading out, especially around holidays or weather disruptions. Registering interest in a session (e.g. through our registration link) does not guarantee a court slot; sessions run on a rotation and queue system managed on-site.
By attending a session, you agree to follow the Rules & Etiquette published on this Site, any additional instructions from the officer or organizer running that session, and the venue's own house rules (e.g. SM City Rosario's facility policies).
Pickleball, like any physical sport, carries an inherent risk of injury — including but not limited to sprains, strains, falls, collisions with other players, and impact from the ball or paddles. By participating in any OCPC session, outing, or event, you acknowledge and voluntarily accept these risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law:
If you're bringing a minor to a session, you accept this same assumption of risk on their behalf and agree to supervise them appropriately during play.
By attending a session, you confirm that you are physically fit to participate in recreational pickleball, or that you have consulted a doctor if you have any condition that could be affected by physical activity. Please sit out and inform an officer if you feel unwell, dizzy, or injured during a session — don't push through pain.
OCPC sells limited-run merchandise (currently the Sublimation Uniform and the OCPC T-Shirt v1) through the Shop page using a batch order system: we collect orders until a minimum headcount is reached, then place one bulk print run. This means:
Because merchandise is produced per batch to order, we generally do not offer refunds once a batch has gone to print, except in cases of a manufacturing defect, wrong size/color sent due to our error, or an item that never arrives. If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible — cancellations are only possible before the batch you're part of has closed and gone to print.
OCPC regularly takes photos and videos during open play, outings, and events for use on this Site, our Facebook page, and other club social channels. By attending a session or event, you consent to being photographed or filmed as part of the group, and to that media being posted publicly, unless you tell an officer in advance that you'd prefer not to be included — we'll do our best to accommodate that request, though we can't guarantee exclusion from wide group/crowd shots.
Profile photos you upload when signing up are used specifically for your player profile, Meet the Club listing, and birthday shoutouts, and are stored via Cloudinary (see our Privacy Policy for details).
We want OCPC to be a welcoming, respectful space on and off the court. In addition to the on-court etiquette in our Rules & Etiquette page, all players and members are expected to:
OCPC reserves the right to warn, temporarily suspend, or permanently remove any player from sessions, the roster, or this Site for conduct that violates this section — including unsafe play, harassment, repeated disruptive behavior, or misuse of club branding. Where practical, we'll give a warning first; serious incidents (safety threats, harassment) may result in immediate removal.
The OCPC name, logo, wordmark, and original content on this Site (text, graphics, photos we've taken, and page designs) belong to One Cavite Pickleball Club unless otherwise credited. You may share links to this Site and screenshots for personal, non-commercial use (e.g. sharing an event on your own social media), but you may not reproduce our logo or branding on your own merchandise, materials, or storefronts without our written permission.
When you submit a testimonial, quiz response, contact form message, or player profile information, you grant OCPC a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display that content on this Site and our social channels (for example, featuring your testimonial in our spotlight section) unless you ask us not to. You're responsible for making sure anything you submit is accurate and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
This Site relies on third-party services to operate — Firebase (authentication and database), Cloudinary (photo hosting), Google Forms/Sheets (orders and sign-ups), Google Analytics (site usage), and GCash (payment confirmation) — each governed by their own terms and privacy policies. This Site may also link out to external sites (like Facebook or our GCash payment page); we aren't responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third-party sites.
This Site and OCPC's activities are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep schedules, order statuses, and page content accurate, but we don't guarantee the Site will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or perfectly up to date.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OCPC and its organizers, officers, and volunteers won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this Site or participation in club activities, beyond what's already addressed in the Assumption of Risk section above.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless OCPC, its organizers, officers, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misconduct at a session or event, or your breach of any third party's rights in content you submit.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your participation in OCPC activities will first be handled informally — please reach out to us directly so we can try to resolve it. Where formal resolution is needed, the courts of Cavite, Philippines will have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any other venue required by applicable law.
We may update these Terms as OCPC's activities, tools, or policies evolve. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued participation in OCPC activities or use of this Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable under applicable law, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
